This week we’re recapping The Dead Files “Buried” (Season 14, Episode 11) which originally aired February 3, 2023.

Amy and Megan close out their Ohio series with a case that somehow includes: teachers recommending paranormal investigators, a basement ghost who apparently runs a burial service, and one very stressed nine-year-old who just wants to go back to being a “playful boy.”

Along the way, we discuss the truly wild moment when Kingston’s teachers tell his mom she should call The Dead Files, debate whether ghost kids are ever a good sign (spoiler: absolutely not), and wonder why Steve always asks clients if they’ve been “taking any weed.”

We also tackle the real mysteries of the episode, like why the show suddenly discovered drone shots, why Word absolutely refuses to learn how to spell Steve DiSchiavi, and how a ghost can apparently keep burying the same victim over and over while yelling “stay dead.”

Plus:

woodpecker headaches, ghost LEGO buddies, purse-strap demonstrations, basement dread, and a brief but passionate discussion about woodpeckers that absolutely nobody asked for.

Ponder

If a ghost is trying to keep their victim quiet by repeatedly burying them in the basement… does that mean the haunting is less about revenge and more about covering up a crime that refuses to stay buried?

Witness

Both Amy and Megan try to explain things that they have no business explaining.

Weigh-In

If your child’s teachers told you they think your kid is seeing ghosts… and suggested you call paranormal investigators…would you be relieved someone believes them, or immediately start looking for a new school?

So grab your bird-watching book and join us where…The Activity Continues.

In this episode we mention child death in history (fire), so please consider before listening. But if you watch The Dead Files, you should be fine. Also we swear.
