The Paranormal Highway
The Paranormal Highway: Satanic Vortices, Shadow People, and One Very Bad Closet
Some houses are haunted.
Some houses have a few unexplained footsteps, a door that opens by itself, maybe a ghost who occasionally wanders through the kitchen.
And then there are houses that apparently have a Satanic vortex in the closet.
Welcome to Episode 178 of The Activity Continues, where we watched and reacted to The Dead Files episode “Drawn to Evil,” and things went from creepy to deeply alarming pretty much immediately.
Welcome to the Paranormal Highway
This week’s case takes place in Medina, New York, in an enormous old home that began life as an inn in 1837.
The house is gorgeous. We would like that stated for the record.
Unfortunately, gorgeous houses can apparently also contain screaming women, shadow figures, violent entities, mysterious illnesses, terrifying nightmares, demons, and whatever the hell a Satanic vortex is.
The family living there included Kelsey, her two very young daughters, and her mother, Cindy . Almost immediately, it became clear that this wasn’t a case of somebody occasionally hearing footsteps in the hallway. The family described being exhausted and sick, seeing apparitions and shadow people, hearing screams, and experiencing activity that had become physical.
Naturally, during all of this, we were also noticing the kitchen.
And the clothes.
Amy Allan looked adorable. Kelsey had a cute dress…and boots!
We contain multitudes.
The Family Member You Didn’t See
This episode became especially interesting for us before we even recorded it.
Amy had connected with Cameron, Kelsey’s brother and Cindy ’s son, who also lived in the house when The Dead Files filmed there.
Cameron told Amy that he was interviewed for the show when he was younger, but his interview didn’t make the finished episode because his experiences didn’t fit the story they ultimately used.
Importantly, Cameron says nobody asked him to change his story or lie. They simply didn’t use his interview.
Which, obviously, left us with approximately 900 questions.
What did he tell Steve? What was happening from his perspective? What was it like having a television production descend on your haunted house when you were a teenager? And how did the family feel about the finished episode?
We’re going to get the chance to ask.
Cameron, his mom Lucinda (Cindy in the episode), and his sister Kelsey have agreed to join us on The Activity Continues.
Have a question for Cameron, Lucinda, or Kelsey?
We want to hear it!

We’ll be gathering listener questions before we sit down with them, so if there’s something you’ve always wanted to ask someone who actually appeared on The Dead Files, this is your chance.
What do you want to know about the house? Their experiences? The filming? The reveal? What happened afterward? Send it in, and we'll add your questions to our rapidly growing list.
We also celebrated hitting 60,000 downloads.
Which is pretty damn cool.
Thank you, Ghosty Fam. Seriously. We couldn't have gotten there without you.
Now please stay out of suspicious closets.
