Past Lives, Puppies, and Paranormal Confusion
This time, our paranormal dice roll landed us at Lambert Castle as we watched and reacted to The Holzer Files episode, The Haunting of Lambert Castle. What started as a haunted castle investigation quickly turned into a tangled story of family secrets, possible past lives, mysterious dreams, and one question we couldn't stop asking:
Did they actually solve the mysteries?
Along the way we met Catholina Lambert, learned the heartbreaking history of the Lambert family, followed Cindy Kaza through one of the stranger investigations we've seen, and watched a past-life regression take the case in a direction neither of us expected.
As always, we paused the show frequently to speculate, theorize, laugh, and occasionally confuse ourselves right alongside the investigators.
Meanwhile... Meet Ollie 🐶(name subject to change)
If you watched the video version, you probably noticed we had a very special guest.
Our newest rescue, Ollie, made himself right at home during recording and very quickly won Megan over...despite her repeated claims that she's "not a dog person."
Let's just say...the evidence suggests otherwise.
(We're pretty sure Ollie considers himself an official co-host now.)
Favorite Moments
A few moments that had us laughing:
- Megan wondering how the United States ended up with a castle.
- "Brunhilda? ...We don't like...Brunhilda means nothing. Let's move on."
- Imagining a ghost casually responding, "I don't f**ing know."*
- Wondering whether the mysterious woman really was who everyone thought she was.
- Our increasingly elaborate theories about the Lambert family tree.
Sometimes watching paranormal TV is less about finding answers and more about seeing where the rabbit holes lead.
Did They Solve It?
One thing we really appreciated about this episode was how different it felt from the first Holzer Files episode we covered.
That said... We felt they solved the “blood” stain issue. But there were so many more questions! Maybe this is for a detective rather than a paranormal team.
We had a great discussion after the episode about editing, storytelling, and how much information may have been left on the cutting-room floor.
